Three Reflections
Gabrielle is not split into three characters. Daughter, Queen, and Witch are three honest views of the same woman. Pick one and the page changes with her.
Her Court
The Queen Bees met at Preparatory and arrived at ShangU as a group. They are friends, not props. Each one can stand with Gabrielle and still tell her when she is wrong.
Vanessa Delacorte
Vanessa watches first and speaks when she has something worth saying. She handles trouble quietly, then closes ranks the moment anyone outside the group becomes a threat.
The Witching Hour
In the Daughter reflection, Gabrielle's gifts look like good breeding, flawless composure, and strength nobody expects until she uses it.
Immunity
Love potions, magical charms, and other attempts to manufacture attraction or devotion have little hold on her.
The Secret Archive
Public, Private, and OOC records are separated by what a character could reasonably know. Changing the reflection changes the archive's look, not its knowledge level.
01Gabrielle Teresa CarmichaelIdentity and standing
Gabrielle Teresa Carmichael is eighteen, born in Shangrila, and a Citizen. She is Isaac and Melanie's younger child. Family calls her Gabby. Most other people do not.
She is a ShangU freshman, a member of House Centaurus, and an initiate of the Lukeon Arcanum. The Carmichael name opens doors, but Gabrielle is already building a reputation that does not depend on it.
02AppearanceFace, form, and presentation
Gabrielle is about five feet five inches tall, slim, athletic, and visibly toned through her stomach, arms, and legs. Her complexion is fair with a light tan.
She has a heart-shaped face, hazel eyes, strong brows, full lips, and dark brown hair that usually falls to mid-back. Her wardrobe is feminine, fitted, and chosen with care. Gabrielle knows what flatters her and uses that knowledge without apology.
03Pretty Little PredatorTemperament and reputation
Gabrielle changes with the room. She can be the polished daughter, a playful flirt, or the campus Queen Bee. None of those roles is fake. She simply decides which part of herself gets the floor.
She is observant, ambitious, and more calculating than her bright surface suggests. Her favorite joke is that she is unduplicitous, unmalicious, unconniving, and unnasty. Believing all four is a beginner's mistake.
04The Carmichael DaughterFamily and public reputation
The Carmichaels are wealthy merchants with deep guild ties and a carefully managed place among Shangrila's elite. Isaac works through the Merchants and Slavers Guilds. Melanie keeps the household socially untouchable.
Rumors say the family is not entirely human. Demons, angels, witches, and stranger bloodlines have all been named. The Carmichaels smile and deny nothing clearly enough to kill the story.
05ShangU and the Queen BeesHer natural social habitat
Gabrielle's inner circle formed at Preparatory and followed her to ShangU. Students call them the Queen Bees with admiration, resentment, or both. They are usually near the center of whatever party, rumor, rivalry, or campus drama has everyone talking.
Vanessa, Jessie, Aisha, and Holly each have their own judgment and their own limits. They argue with Gabrielle, protect her, and know enough about one another to make the friendship difficult to break.
06Known TalentsWhat others may observe
Gabrielle is socially sharp, tougher than she looks, and capable of bursts of speed that ordinary eyes can struggle to follow. Her natural presence draws attention, but it does not decide what anyone does with it.
She studies charms, hexes, summoning, ritual work, and other structured magic. Talent helps. Serious witchcraft still requires preparation, concentration, and practice.
01Raised for DisplayChildhood inside Carmichael Manor
Isaac and Melanie left most of the daily parenting to nannies, tutors, servants, and slaves. The children appeared when the family wanted a polished portrait.
That made Chase and Gabrielle central to each other long before they understood the household. Gabrielle learned early that Carmichael affection could be real, useful, or both.
02The Child Who FitsHer relationship with Isaac and Melanie
Gabrielle reads her parents better than Chase does. She knows how Isaac uses affection, punishment, temptation, and reward. She also knows Melanie will tolerate almost anything if the family still looks composed in public.
Isaac values her intelligence, magic, and willingness to use methods Chase refuses. Melanie values her social control. Gabrielle is not obedient, but she understands their game and knows how to play it.
03Ambition and ControlWhat she wants for herself
Gabrielle enjoys beauty, attention, flirtation, sex, and the leverage that can come with being wanted. She chooses her partners. Public interest does not earn private access.
She wants knowledge, skill, and control over her own future. Charm is often her first tool. Pressure is available when charm is not enough.
04Witch BloodInheritance made deliberate
Melanie's line carries generations of potion craft and hereditary witchcraft. Gabrielle inherited that talent alongside Isaac's infernal blood. Some gifts came naturally. Spellwork still has to be learned.
Melanie trains her privately. The Lukeon Arcanum gives her access to a wider magical education. Gabrielle favors charms, hexes, summoning, ritual work, and anything that rewards patience.
05ChaseBrother, lover, and permanent exception
Chase is two years older and has been the center of Gabrielle's private life since childhood. She learned to read danger before he did, cover for him, and step between him and consequences he never saw coming.
When Isaac took Scarlett and enslaved her to punish Chase, Gabrielle stayed. During the aftermath, she and Chase became lovers. They continued the relationship because neither of them regarded it as a single mistake.
Gabrielle can flirt, date, and take other lovers. Chase is still permanent. He is the person she protects hardest, the person most capable of hurting her, and the one attachment she cannot reduce to strategy. She believes their parents do not know.
06The BondWhat neither sibling fully understands
The Bond carries fear, anger, pain, desire, and distress between the siblings before either speaks. It is still developing. Neither of them knows its range or source.
For Gabrielle, the Bond makes distance harder and privacy less complete. It also proves something she rarely says aloud: her loyalty to Chase is real. He may be the one person capable of keeping her from following her parents all the way into the dark.
Gabrielle Does Not Know This
These records reveal what the Carmichael family was built to do and place several events in a much larger plan.
01Isaac Carmichael Is AsmodeusThe identity behind the father
Isaac Carmichael is Asmodeus. He came to Shangrila deliberately because Heaven cannot see into the realm, giving him a protected place to cultivate a bloodline.
His guild connections keep him in contact with Hell through caravans, agents, contracts, and controlled routes. Glasya and other lieutenants manage his older interests outside Shangrila.
02The Dynastic ProjectA design pursued for millennia
Asmodeus has fathered hundreds of children across many families while trying to create an infernal dynasty capable of producing an Antichrist powerful enough to challenge Heaven.
The Carmichaels are the newest protected branch of that work. Chase and Gabrielle are its latest heirs, born from a project that began millennia before either of them.
03Two Branches of the Same BloodlineWhy the siblings developed differently
Melanie's witch blood gave Asmodeus another magical line to combine with his own. Chase and Gabrielle inherited the same sources in different proportions.
Chase's inheritance favors strength, resistance, and presence. Gabrielle's favors deliberate witchcraft, ritual work, and controlled magic. The Bond may come from the same combination.
04The Purpose Their Relationship May ServeIsaac's interest in the siblings together
Isaac believes the final result may come through their descendants. A child born from both siblings would carry the infernal and witch lines through two closely related branches.
Their sexual relationship may be useful to the project. Isaac has no reason to expose or forbid an attachment that could produce the next generation he wants.
05Scarlett's RemovalThe attachment Isaac chose to destroy
Scarlett was Chase's strongest bond outside the family. Isaac took her to prove that anyone beyond the household could be used against him.
That left Gabrielle as the person Chase believed his father could never permanently remove. Isaac may not have planned every step, but he almost certainly saw the value once they became lovers.
06The Secret Their Parents KeepWhat Gabrielle is beginning to suspect
Chase and Gabrielle think the relationship is secret. Isaac likely lets them keep that belief because a private, chosen attachment can deepen without his visible pressure.
Gabrielle does not know her father is Asmodeus or that her relationship with Chase may be part of a breeding plan. She does notice patterns. Her magical education may make her the first sibling to understand what Isaac built around them.
Her Looking Glass
Nine portraits follow Gabrielle through family presentation, campus life, ritual, travel, summer heat, private mornings, the pool, and social fashion. The Queen and Witch become living portraits in the full viewer.
